Dry Needling (DN) is a technique whereby a sterile needle is inserted into the centre of a myofascial trigger point, or in scar tissue / connective tissue, increasing blood flow to the contracted muscle to relax by providing fresh oxygen and nutrients, as well as by flushing away any acidic chemicals. This, in turn, leads to the decompression of the local blood and nerve supply as well as changes in tissue structure.

Please note that Dry Needling is not Chinese acupuncture. Dry needling is a treatment NOT suitable for persons who have a fear of needles, communication difficulties or cognitive disabilities, an acute medical condition, a local infection or at an area with lymphedema.
*DN could have adverse effects that will be discussed with you before your appointment begins.
